The Celebration

"The race is merely the celebration of all the training you've done so far."

This (I'm sure I've paraphrased) came through on my radio this morning as a local runner was speaking about the upcoming Bluenose International Marathon, and with only one training run left to go, I quite like to think that Sunday's half marathon will be celebratory, and not feel like the final exam I've been studying three months for.

I'm told my time can be tracked, though I'm not sure when stats will be posted or whether split times will be indicated. Likely not. But if you're interested, you can probably find me on the Official Website or on SportsStats.ca. Race time is 9:00Am Atlantic, and I'm hoping to complete it in two-hours.

Good luck with the half-marathon! I can't say I'll be following your progress, since it'll only be 5am my time when you start running, but I'll say a prayer for you Saturday night. You'll do great!

And like a broken record, I feel the need to tell you again, thank you for getting me to watch "Chuck." :-)
