Stretched to the Limit

One of the acts on display was this young girl, who happens to be one of The Lovely Wife's gymnasts. She's been in TLW's gym for 10 years and has since trained under Russian instruction in Montreal and now does contortion for a local Cirque show.

It was amazing to see her in action for everyone on the street to see. I must admit, I felt a little proud to know her. And my hamstrings hurt, just a little.

Amazing. Yes, your hamstrings should hurt. She obviously has none.
Dance, Floss, Sing? This reminds me of that song from Sesame Street that Grover used to love to sing. One of these words just doesn't belong la la.

Ok. I hurt just watching her. Cool to know that gymnasts can have a career after competition.

(I heard there was a circus school to the big TO and was secretly thinking of sending my less graceful children to see if the instructor could improve their coordination. That, or summer charm school camp >:D

I heard there was a contortionist! (My tribal fusion teacher was apparently dancing on the other side of the store and was disappointed she didn't get to watch her!)
