World Environment Day!

It's World Environment Day, people. And since I'm officially no longer holding back on hounding my readers about all things environmental, I want you to all do the following things today:

1. Think about doing something today that will benefit the environment -- something you're not already doing. Turn down the thermostat on your water heater, wash your laundry in cold water, use a refillable coffee mug, choose not to print out that document to read it, or turn your idling vehicle engine off after 10 seconds.

2. Embrace that new habit. Forever.

3. (Optional) Feel good about it.

You may go.

(Thanks be to Wikipedia for the pic.)
Ed. note: This entry was called Earth Day, until an astute reader pointed out that I did that in April. Pass the coffee?

I was all anxious reading #3, until I got to the end and realised that I do all of those things.

Woo-Hoo! I rock! In your face, PLANET!

Yay Earth Day! I suppose this means I should turn off the water whilst brushing my teeth? Damn. Okay...I can do that. :)

Done, done, done and done.

Added: ride bike to work, dry laundry on clothesline, and eat local.

Christine: You're the only one to point out my mistake, which I corrected and now you look silly. Silly me. Thanks!

Whatever day Earth Day really falls on... this is a great reminder to be more eco friendly all year long.

Thanks for commenting and saying I should submit my 'Texas' article...I appreciate you thinking it is worthy! I've been a bit distracted lately... as you read from my last post. ;)

I'm with sween, in feeling pretty good about myself but I promise to do more. Like, never drive a gas guzzling SUV. Even if someone gives one to me. Besides, I'm a horrible at parking and smart cars are so tiny!
