AI5 - Final: Soul Patrol recovers from McPheever

THE RESULT: Well, folks. I called it wrong, but I really don't mind one little bit. Taylor Hicks, the season underdog, has won the hearts of America. Or at least 50% plus one. At least Katharine won't have to sing that awful song anymore. Oh, wait...she WILL! Hahaha... oh, the horror.

THE SHOW: The two hour special was more than I could possibly stay awake for, though I understand there were a number of fun guests: Burt Bacharach, Dionne Warwick, Prince, Live, Clay Aiken....and of course, Kevin Couvais. All of this housed in a mock awards show that featured many of the most loved/hated auditions and contestants from this season. Haven't they beat these folks to death already? I may actually watch the taped show sometime this weekend.

Apologies for the brief updates, but I'll be amazed if this email-to-blog thing actually works. And once I get the hang of the new job and its effects on my bloggable time, things should improve around here (content notwithstanding).

THE CURTAIN: Congratulations, Taylor. And WOO!

The results show was great! you should definitely watch it this weekend. there are certainly some fast-forward parts but you should watch the clay aiken thing...it's funny. This is more of an email, not really a blog worthy comment but it's the only contact I have for you...so...yup, that's it.

yes, Taylor will make a great Idol winner. No question about it. And, he's not likely to cross over to country or gospel!

And I love that he has grey hair! Am most impressed. Heard he just got a huge record deal. How cool. Go underdog!
